BAE Index, 6/11/16: Draymond Green did another bad thing
By Taylor Smith
Welcome to the BAE Index.
ANDREW BYNUM BACK!
Former Cavs center Andrew Bynum, who has been out of the NBA since 2012 despite still being only 28 years old, showed up to cheer on his former team for Game 4. Bynum, who’s now sporting some sweet Jason Kidd circa 2000 bleached blonde hair, was spotted sippin’ on some refreshing Miller Lite from a seat that looked like it may not have been designed to support a seven-footer (via @ChatSports):
Jeff Van Gundy told a crazy O.J. Simpson story
ESPN is airing the first segment of a new 8-hour 30-for-30 on O.J. Simpson Saturday night, which led to Jeff Van Gundy telling us an insane-if-true story about O.J. and the ’95 NBA Finals (via TheHoopDoctors):
Cavs fan channels his inner Wesley Matthews and heckles Steph Curry
From Andrew Bynum to this couple, to this gent that told us all what we already knew, it’s safe to say we had our fair share of interesting fans at the Q last night. Nobody was more hilarious than this cocky fella sitting on the baseline, though. Watch as he celebrates a Kevin Love three by drawing his bow-and-arrow and also gives Steph Curry a good old fashioned hecklin’ (both via @TheCauldronICYMI):
NOT IN HIS HOUSE, CURRY.
Kyrie put Steph on skates
Stuff actually happened in the game, too! This one was a back-and-forth affair throughout, with Kyrie Irving and Steph Curry engaging in their own mano-a-mano duel. Safe to say Kyrie won this play, though, as a series of crossovers wrecked the MVP’s balance (via @NBA):
Draymond Green dropped a dime
Draymond Green has struggled to find his shot since erupting for 28 points in the Dubs’ Game 2 thrashing of the Cavs, but he’s out there for other reasons. Like his passing, for instance. Check out the beautiful backdoor pounce pass to Andre Iguodala for the easy flush (via @MichaelSGallagher):
LeBron James cleaned up Kyrie Irving’s mess
Boxing out is one of the fundamentals of basketball, yet we still see plenty of examples of players just flat-out forgetting to do it. This is one of those examples. It just so happened the player the Warriors forgot to box-out was LeBron freaking James, and he made them pay for such a grave mistake with a fantastic one-handed follow slam off an Irving miss (via @RealGM):
Guess what? Draymond Green hit somebody in their nether regions again
I know you’re shocked, but hear me out. Draymond Green got in a scuffle last night, and it resulted in him striking somebody else where the sun don’t shine. The only surprise here is that it took four games for this to happen (via @TheCauldron):
