Belmont Stakes 2016 field
The field for the 2016 Belmont Stakes, the 148th running from Belmont Park
The 2016 Belmont Stakes will be run at Belmont Park on Saturday, June 11 and horse racing fans around the globe have to be ecstatic about the great racing coming their way. Though one of the top horses in the sport is out, this still should be a fantastic sight from Elmont, NY on Saturday evening.
Nyquist of course is the horse that’s out of the field as an illness got him pulled. However, the Preakness winner in Exaggerator is still going to be running the Belmont Stakes and the question that remains is if there are any horses in the field that are going to be able to keep up.
Here’s a look at the full field for the 2016 Belmont Stakes on Saturday (note: odds are the opening odds for the race, not the live updated ones):

Even without Nyquist vs. Exaggerator dueling for supremacy in the horse racing world, the 2016 Belmont Stakes still looks like it should be a blast. Now we’ll just have to wait and see if it lives up to the hype or if Desormeaux and Exaggerator run away with it.
