Copa America: Frank Fabra equalizes for Colombia (Video)
By David Rouben
It only took Colombia four minutes to tie the game against Costa Rica after falling behind.
If Colombia look disorganized or a shell of themselves in this game, it’s probably because they’re resting James Rodriguez after booking their place to the quarterfinals. Still, they would rather win the group lest they face Brazil in the quarterfinal stage, and all they have to do is at least draw against Costa Rica.
After Costa Rica capitalized on a reserve Colombia unit by scoring two minutes in, it was Frank Fabra who stepped up and tied the game for his team:

Even if Colombia aren’t taking this game seriously and aren’t fielding a full strength lineup, they could still want to win lest they risk damaging their reputation. Losing to a team that lost 4-0 to the United States isn’t good for Colombia’s track record, and it would make them look vulnerable heading into the quarterfinal.
However, it looks like they’ve maintained their composure with this goal, as they have started to dictate the tempo of the game. The majority of the crowd are Colombia fans, so it feels like a home game for them, and they will surely be buoyed by their support.
It would be hard to bet against Colombia getting a second goal, even if they don’t need one.
