While he will not win 2016 NBA Finals MVP, the Warriors’ 2016 NBA Playoffs MVP is without question Thompson. Thompson’s performance in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals on the road in Oklahoma City down 3-2 in the best-of-seven series was arguably the greatest jump shooting performance of all-time.

Thompson is infuriated that the NBA suspended his fellow All-NBA player for Game 5. With Green, Thompson solidifies the Warriors’ elite NBA defense. They work in unison to essentially offset some of the defensive liabilities of Curry so that he can focus on being the best jump shooter in NBA history on the other end of the floor.

Thompson broke his usually reserved demeanor by sounding off on Sunday about Green’s suspension, throwing some serious shade at James for not being tough enough to handle NBA trash talking.

In his meeting with the media, Thompson did say that Golden State was going to win Game 5 for Green. With his all-around dynamic game, Thompson is more than capable of leading the charge for the Warriors to eliminate Cleveland on Monday night en route to repeat as NBA Champions.
