What’s different about Apple iOS 10?

Apple revealed iOS 10 this week, but what is new about it?

This week saw Apple rollout what the new iOS 10 will look like when it’s pushed to the public in September. That’s a tentative date, as the new iOS 10 is going to come out at some point in the fall when the next iPhone is released.

But as far as what the new features will be, we were given a really good look at just how different our lives are going to be.

Here’s a brief rundown of what new features will be included on iOS 10:

  • New Apple Music layout
  • iMessage app integration that allows you to pay, order food and handwrite messages through text messages.
  • Ability to sketch in iMessage and use your finger as a pen in other apps, much like the Microsoft Surface Pro.

Really, the biggest changes to iOS 10 is in iMessage and the new integration involved there. Basically the iMessage function is turning into a Facebook Messenger app, as there has been so much copied over from that to you text messaging capabilities.

There will be other things done in iOS to smooth out the user experience, but it looks like Apple has changed the way we interact with text messages moving forward.
