The 2016 College World Series bracket is now set as the NCAA Baseball action now heads to Omaha

The 2016 NCAA Baseball Tournament started out with 64 of the best teams in the country all doing battle with the same goal: getting to Omaha for the College World Series. After 16 Regionals and then eight Super Regionals have been played, the last concluding on Monday night, the eight teams that will be going to the 2016 College World Series have been determined.

When you think about where everything started in the NCAA Baseball Tournament, it’s quite wild looking at the eight teams that are heading to Omaha for the College World Series. Only three of the eight teams that advanced were one of the eight national seeds for the tourney in the Florida Gators, Miami Hurricanes, and Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Other than that, there are other teams making their first-ever College World Series appearance in the history of their program in the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos and the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. They’ll be looking to carry their underdog momentum more than just to Omaha and the College World Series, but carry it all the way to a national championship.

Now that the eight teams have advanced, let’s take a look at the 2016 College World Series bracket now that it’s set:

TCU gets another Texas-based matchup after toppling Texas A&M in the Super Regionals, which should be a ton of fun. But really, if the College World Series is anything like the games leading up to it, it’s all going to be phenomenal.
