Identifying the top high salary and value outfielder plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 13 DraftKings lineup.
Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.
As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.
High Salary
J.D. Martinez, Tigers (5,000): Martinez is on a nice roll as of late, tallying two hits in four straight games. He’s only homered once in June, but he draws a solid matchup Monday with James Shields. Martinez is 6-for-18 in his career against Shields, who struggled mightily in his Chicago White Sox debut last Wednesday.
Adam Duvall, Reds (4,600): Duvall’s 17 home runs trail only Colorado’s Nolan Arenado (19) in the National League. He has a great chance to add to that total on Monday, when Cincinnati faces Atlanta and struggling young right-hander Aaron Blair (0-4, 7.13 ERA). Fifteen of Duvall’s 17 home runs have come against righties.
High Value
Whit Merrifield, Royals (3,200): Merrifield has been a nice addition for Kansas City since joining the team in late May. He’s hitting .322 with five RBIs and three stolen bases in 21 games. His matchup Monday against Cleveland Indians starter Carlos Carrasco (2-1, 3.48 ERA) is tough, but Merrifield is hitting .311 against right-handers.
Peter O’Brien, Diamondbacks (3,200): It only took two games for O’Brien, the minors’ leader in home runs, to go yard for Arizona. Another one could be in the cards Monday against Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Mike Bolsinger (1-3, 5.75 ERA). Take advantage of O’Brien while his price is still cheap.
