Identifying the top high salary and value shortstop plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 13 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Eduardo Nunez, Twins (4,800): Nunez continues to get it done in June. Since the calendar flipped over from May, Nunez has four home runs, four RBIs and five stolen bases. He’s hitting .327 overall and .325 against right-handers, which bodes well for his matchup Monday with Los Angeles’ Jered Weaver. Nunez is expensive, but worth paying up for on a short slate.

Jonathan Villar, Brewers (4,500): Villar has cooled off following a recent hot streak in early June, but he still makes for an intriguing play Monday against San Francisco Giants veteran Matt Cain (1-5, 5.20 ERA). Cain’s WHIP is hovering near 1.50, and if Villar is able to get on base, he could add to stolen base or two (he has four in June; MLB-best 23 overall).

High Value

Zack Cozart, Reds (3,600): Cincinnati, which will face Atlanta Braves right-hander Aaron Blair, looks like one of the best potential stacks of the day. Blair (0-4, 7.13 ERA) is struggling, and the Reds has shown it can put up runs in bunches. Cozart is a nice, cheaply-priced option to gain exposure to this game. He’s hitting .284 with six of his nine home runs against right-handers this season.

Brandon Crawford, Giants (3,400): Crawford hasn’t homered since May 19, but he’s still been a consistent part of San Francisco’s success. He’s hitting .273 with all six of his home runs against right-handers this season, so Monday’s matchup against Milwaukee Brewers righty Chase Anderson (4-6, 4.21 ERA) works in his favor as well.
