23. player. 100.
Original pick: Solomon Hill

Chicago Bulls fans really don’t appear to like Tony Snell. Chicago’s fan base has made Snell a whipping boy in a wildly unfair way, and even if the the swingman isn’t the player that Bulls fans would want him to be, he hasn’t been nearly the “bust” that some proclaim.

As the number 20 pick originally, Snell falls only a few spots in our re-draft, and there are positive traits to consider. For starters, he is a career 35.1 percent three-point shooter, and that number balloons to 36.6 percent when taking only the last two seasons into account. That, combined with an encouraging defensive profile at 6-foot-7, does give reason to be optimistic about Snell’s development.

Then, though, you have the downside. Snell’s 6.4 PER in 2015-2016 is obviously ghastly, and it is very difficult to post a 47.8 percent true shooting while making more than 36 percent of your threes. To translate, he was very bad at everything else last season.

It will be interesting to see what happens to Snell if he is given a longer leash, but the cupboard is beginning to look bare and he has been better than the alternatives.
. SG/SF. New Mexico. Tony Snell
