Warriors fans mercilessly boo LeBron James ahead of Game 5 (Video)

Warriors fans were quite emphatic in booing LeBron James as he left his hotel for Oracle Arena for Game 5 of the NBA Finals

There probably isn’t a more hated man in Oakland, CA than LeBron James on Monday night ahead of Warriors-Cavaliers Game 5 in the 2016 NBA Finals. Not only were Golden State Warriors fans not big fans of the Cleveland Cavaliers star to begin with, but after his goading Draymond Green into a Flagrant foul got the Warriors forward suspended for this game, that disdain has only intensified.

Subsequently, it really shouldn’t have surprised anyone on Monday night when the Warriors fans were waiting for LeBron to leave his hotel to head to Oracle Arena. When he did, they let their less than pleasant thoughts about the former MVP be known with a resounding chorus of boos:

I’m going to venture a guess and say that no one in Oakland will be offering to buy LeBron a drink on Monday night after the game.

In fairness, no fan is going to be in LeBron James’ corner after the war of words and everything that’s gone on since Game 4. The real question though is whether or not LeBron will be able to silence the Warriors fans after the opening tip or if Golden State will be galvanized and close out the series with a Game 5 win.
