Which prospects should the Sacramento Kings be targeting in the 2016 NBA Draft?

With a 33-49 record, the Sacramento Kings just finished another sub-par season. The combination of DeMarcus Cousins and Rajon Rondo is fantastic on paper, but clearly it was not a match made to succeed.

Whether the Kings decide to bring Rondo back or not, they need to make improvements on their roster. Is it time to move on from Cousins? Are young guys like Seth Curry, Willie Cauley-Stein and Ben McLemore legitimate NBA starters?

These questions are tough to answer now, but no matter what happens with the guys on the roster or in free agency, the Kings have to connect with their eighth overall selection in the 2016 NBA Draft.

A team like Sacramento cannot count on adding impact veterans to their roster, they must make smart decisions come draft time. The Kings’ draft will begin with a selection eighth overall, and they do not hold another selection all the way until the second-to-last pick in the entire draft (59th overall).
