Identifying the top high salary and value shortstop plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 14 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Trevor Story, Rockies (5,000): Story has five hits in his last four games and, quite frankly, is always a solid play at home in Coors Field. The Rockies welcome the New York Yankees to town, and on Tuesday, get to face right-hander Nathan Eovaldi (6-2, 4.42 ERA). Eovaldi has surrendered 10 home runs in 12 starts this season. Expect that total to grow on Tuesday.

Francisco Lindor, Indians (4,800): Cleveland’s 22-year-old shortstop has continued his brilliant season. He’s hitting .300 with seven home runs, 33 RBIs and 10 stolen bases. Lindor and the Indians’ offense should be able to do some damage against Kansas City Royals veteran right-hander Chris Young (2-6, 6.37 ERA).

High Value

Didi Gregorius, Yankees (3,400): Gregorius, like virtually all New York hitters, will get a bump in value by virtue of playing in Coors Field. But in Gregorius’ case, he also gets a boost by drawing a matchup with a left-handed pitcher in Jorge De La Rosa (2-4, 8.81 ERA). Gregorius is hitting .364 against southpaws this season, making him a strong play on Tuesday.

Javier Baez, Cubs (3,400): When Baez plays, he produces. It’s been that simple. He’s reached double digits in fantasy points in five of his last seven starts. He’s totaled three home runs and 12 RBIs in just 33 at-bats in the month of June. He’s also hitting .387 against lefties, which bodes well for his matchup Tuesday with Washington Nationals southpaw Gio Gonzalez (3-5, 3.93 ERA).
