West Ham are heating up the transfer market, signing Sofiane Feghouli on a free transfer.

West Ham have really been revamping up their team after they finished the 2015-16 EPL season in seventh. With a new stadium coming this upcoming season, West Ham fans have a lot to look forward to.

The club made the signing official on their twitter on Tuesday. Feghouli joins the Hammers after five seasons and almost 200 appearances for Valencia. He signs on a free transfer since his contract with Valencia was up this summer.

Joining the Hammers could be a good move for Feghouli. He is only 26-years-old, a regular for his national team, and played in one of the toughest leagues in the world – La Liga. He told West Ham’s official website that, “the history of the club is important for me in my decision. Playing in the Premier League is very important for players in their careers, and I am happy to play for the Hammers.”

Feghouli played an important role for Valencia, being used as a right winger and wide midfielder. He put up six goals and two assists in all competitions for Valencia this season, for a total of 31 goals since he joined in 2010.

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has some pretty good attacking options for him for next season. He already snagged Valencia’s 18-year-old prodigy Toni Martinez and signed Borussia Monchengladbach’s centre midfielder Harvard Nordtveit. With Dimitri Payet having an incredible season last year for the Hammers, they could become real title contenders, or at least fight for a spot in the Europa/Champions League with the players they have.
