Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Nolan Arenado, Rockies (5,500): Colorado scored 13 runs on 15 hits Tuesday night, so it was a bit disappointing for Arenado to finish with “only” 11 fantasy points. He’s never faced New York Yankees right-hander Ivan Nova, but he’s still hitting .307 at home compared to .271 on the road. Wednesday’s matchup is expected to be another high-scoring affair. Arenado is expensive, but he should return value.

Martin Prado, Marlins (5,000): Prado has been on fire of late, totaling 17 hits over an eight-game hitting streak. He has a great chance to extend that streak on Wednesday against San Diego Padres left-hander Luis Perdomo (1-2, 9.50 ERA). Prado is hitting .389 against southpaws this season.

High Value

Justin Turner, Dodgers (3,400): Turner is coming off a great week in which he homered three times and totaled eight hits. That momentum should carry over into Wednesday’s matchup with Arizona Diamondbacks left-hander Patrick Corbin (3-5, 4.81 ERA). Turner is 5-for-13 in his career against Corbin.

Luis Valbuena, Astros (3,300): Valbuena had his eight-game hitting streak come to an end on Tuesday, but he has an ideal matchup Wednesday to start a new one. Valbuena faces St. Louis Cardinals righty Adam Wainwright (5-4, 5.21 ERA), against whom he is 9-for-22 with five extra-base hits in his career.
