Jameis Winston’s head shaved by cancer survivor to raise awareness
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston let a young cancer survivor shave his head to help raise awareness for pediatric cancer.
Jameis Winston took part in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ fourth annual “Cut for a Cure” event on Wednesday to help raise money and awareness for pediatric cancer. Proceeds go to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation,

Winston sat as seven-year-old Josh got out the clippers and sheared off the already short hair by the quarterback who made the Pro Bowl after he was taken with the top pick out of Florida State last year.
The former Heisman Trophy winner and national champion with the Seminoles has more than his fair share of critics because of his off-the-field past at Florida State, most notably a sexual assault allegation his freshman year at FSU. However, he’s a beloved figure among Florida State fans and now Tampa Bay fans, many of whom watched him star for two years in Tallahassee, and they’ll love seeing their franchise quarterback doing things like this.

The more he does things like participating in events like this to raise money and awareness for pediatric cancer and puts out a positive influence in the community, he’s going to go a long way toward making himself a fan favorite in Tampa Bay, if he isn’t already.
