Tickets were hard to come by for the last home Cavs game of the year but that didn’t stop thousands of fans from gathering outside the arena for Game 6 of the NBA Finals.

Even the most optimistic Cleveland Cavaliers fan may not have imagined getting a Game 6 after the Golden State Warriors were up 3-1 in the NBA Finals and headed back home to close out the series.

But then LeBron James and Kyrie Irving turned incredible individual efforts to take Game 5 and send the series back to Cleveland where the Cavs suddenly had all the momentum and Stephen Curry and the Warriors had all the pressure.

With Game 6 the final home game of the year for the Cavs regardless of what happens tonight, tickets were at a premium but that didn’t stop a massive outpouring of support from fans who couldn’t get inside the arena tonight.

This photo shared by the Cavs official Twitter account shows you the mass of humanity that gathered outside Quicken Loans Arena.

That’s an incredible turnout by a franchise and a city that is desperate to see a champion crowned. They won’t see that tonight, but they are hopeful of seeing LeBron, Kyrie and the rest of the Cavs win a second game in a row against the defending NBA champions and force a Game 7.

If the Cavs are successful doing that, you can bet there will be another huge crowd outside the arena, and perhaps inside for a special watch party, as they wait to see who will be the NBA champs.
