LeBron James has easily been the best player in the 2016 NBA Finals. Here are five reasons he’ll win NBA Finals MVP regardless of Game 7’s outcome.
Against all odds, the 2016 NBA Finals have reached a pivotal, deciding Game 7 on Father’s Day, Sunday night at Oracle Arena in Oakland. The Cleveland Cavaliers have won back-to-back games facing elimination down three games to one to the Golden State Warriors to force a win-or-go-home Game 7 in one of the best NBA Finals to date.
Both teams have been able to thrice eviscerate their opponent on the hardwood in these massively important NBA Finals games. Though his team has been on the losing end of three of these six games in blowout losses, Cavaliers point forward LeBron James has easily been the best player for either team in this best-of-seven series.
James had been the guiding light to a lost Cavaliers team facing elimination entering Game 5. He has elevated his play to a herculean level and his Cleveland teammates have responded marvelously. The Chosen One has his hometown Cavaliers on the brink of winning that elusive professional championship in Northeast Ohio.
Cleveland will play its most important basketball game in franchise history on Sunday and regardless of if the Cavaliers are able to end the city’s 51-year title drought, here are five reasons that James should and will be named 2016 NBA Finals MVP, even if he doesn’t win the title.
