2. Klay Thompson won’t let them lose

Thompson has had some stages through his playoff career where he will come and go. He no-showed a part of the last NBA Finals and throughout the season it became a story of who the real sidekick was to Curry, Thompson or Draymond Green. While that stuff is talked about to kill time, Thompson has what it takes it to put his team on his back and has showed it in these playoffs.

When Curry went down for four games due to his MCL sprain, Thompson stepped up averaging 31.5 points, including 50-percent from three while averaging six threes made per game.

No one will forget his unconscious fourth quarter where he put 19 points to beat the Thunder in Game 6. He finished that game with 41 points on 11-18 from shooting from three.

In Game 6 he started like most of the team, slow out of the gate and looking lost as the Cavaliers stormed on them. He bounced back, and despite going 3-for-10  from three, hit two of them late in third quarter when he went on his own personal 8-0 run to cut a 17-point lead to eight.

Thompson has the instinct of when to go into sniper-mode and you can bet that the third or fourth quarter of game seven will feature some sort of Thompson bombardment of threes to completely swing the game.
