First off, Happy Fatherās Day to all the Dads out there on this Sunday. As a father to young twin boys, today is one of my favorite days of the year as I not only get to celebrate with my kids but with my father and father in law as well!
Jacob deGrom ($10,400) at home versus Atlanta:Ā Speaking of dads, deGrom welcomed his first son earlier this season so who better to lead off our Fatherās Day FanDuel MLB picks?
deGrom started off slow this year but has turned it up recently averaging 40.5 points per start over his last 4 turns. Keep in mind, deGrom has been held winless through those starts which has severely brought down his point totals but Sunday deGrom is a healthy home favorite against Atlanta.
deGrom has seen his strikeout totals increase steadily recently as well with 9,9 and 10 strikeouts over his last 3 starts and with his ability to rack up Kās, there is not pitcher I would rather lock in Sunday.
Kenta Maeda ($8,900) home versus Milwaukee:Ā If you are playing the all day or late slates, pivoting away from deGrom and moving towards Dodgers righty Kenta Maeda may be your top play.
Over the last 2 weeks, Maeda is averaging the second most points of any pitcher on the slate with 42.9 which is just shy of 5x value at this price point and gets a match-up where he is the largest favored pitcher on the board.
Although Maeda left his last start with a leg injury, he will return to the mound on Sunday and makes a great option on the alternate slates if you are looking to fade deGrom.
Pitching Summary:Ā deGrom is the clear top dog in cash games and with no stand out offensive options, I am happy to build around him in tournaments as well. If you are playing the later or main slates, Maeda is an interesting pivot option but the initial large field tournaments are primarily in the main slate where Maeda is not in play.
Next: Who are the top hitters Sunday?

With a full day of MLB action and only a handful of elite pitchers on the mound, there are a variety of options to choose from when putting together the hitters in your FanDuel MLB lineup.
Houston Astros RHB versus LHP Brandon Finnegan:Ā Third time is a charm right? 3 days the Astros are facing a LHP and this will be the third day I go back to stacking them.
Frankly they have disappointedĀ so far this series, much like they have this season but we said the same thing about the Blue Jays until the last week and at some point this offense is going to deliver us a big time fantasy day.
Carlos Correa ($4,00), Jose Altuve ($4,000) and George Springer ($3,800)Ā are all top end plays and you will want exposure to at least a mini-stack here if not a full on stack with a suspect left handed pitcher on the mound.
Evan Gattis ($2,600)Ā homered on Saturday and assuming he is in the lineup he makes for a very cost effective addition to an Astros stack. If he is out,Ā Chris Moran ($2,200) makes for an interesting punt play at 3B as he has been put in the 2 hole against LHP and would be a top bargain play in any stack.
Hitting Summary:Ā With no stand out options on the slate, I love the idea of stacking the high upside Astros with deGrom and mixing and matching either one-off plays or mini-stacks across the other match-ups. Sunday always presents value as lineups are announced so make sure you check before lineups lock to identify any last minute value.
