As it turns out, the Copa America saved its best game for last in the quarterfinals stage. Ever since Chile placed second in their group while Mexico won theirs, fans have been circling this date on their calendar. These two teams play an exciting brand of attacking football and will have another great game in Colombia awaiting them in the semifinal stage.
Chile hasn’t looked like the team that won the Copa America under Jorge Sampaoli, especially when they had to scrape past Bolivia for their first tournament win but come into the quarterfinals riding momentum after a 4-2 win and determined to defend their crown.
Mexico, meanwhile, were thought of as a dark horse to win the whole tournament, and their undefeated group stage so far has backed up that claim. This game will be played at Levi’s Stadium where it all began, and a strong Mexican contingent is expected to be on hand.
Just like with the Argentina vs. Venezuela game that will be on before this, the game will be broadcast on FX (not Fox Sports 1), as well as Univision Deportes. Univision offers a live streaming service, and Fox Soccer 2Go will still be streaming the game as well, but you have to log in with your television provider’s account in order to access the stream.
