The Red Raiders, seeded fourth nationally, got all they could in the Super Regional round against East Carolina. After the Pirates took game one of the series, Texas Tech won the next two to get to the College World Series for the second time ever (both coming in the last three seasons).
The Horned Frogs were having some deja vu in the Super Regional round when they again took on Texas A&M. After winning the first game, TCU dropped the second before winning a decisive game three to move on.
