A look at what happened in the WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view match between AJ Styles and John Cena.
One of the marquee matches at WWE Money in the Bank saw John Cena and AJ Styles battling. This was a highly-anticipated match between longtime stars of the wrestling industry. They had never stepped into a ring together, so everyone was curious to see what would happen on Sunday night.
Now, here’s a look at what went down during this Money in the Bank bout.

This certainly had a big fight feel coming into it, especially if WWE decides to pan out to the crowd to get everyone’s reactions.

Cena continued with his offense.
The interactions between Styles and Cena were terrific, especially at this point.
Styles even slipped in an expletive, which was bleeped out by WWE. It’s safe to say he was not impressed with Cena.

Styles would continue his offense, attacking Cena at ringside with a forearm.
Cena would find the ability to put on the STF in the middle of the ring. However, Styles rolled out of the ring to end the submission.
Cena would look for the AA, but Styles reversed it into the Calf Crusher!

Cena would then hit the AA, but Styles kicked out of it!
A Styles Clash on Cena! But the Leader of the Cenation kicks out!
The referee would get inadvertently knocked down by Styles’ leg. This led to Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows running in to hit Magic Killer on Cena. The ref would climb into the ring and count to three to end the match.
This was a terrific match at Money in the Bank to wake up the fans.
