After the Cleveland Cavaliers took home the NBA championship, fans stormed the streets in celebration.

Cavaliers’ fans stormed the streets of Cleveland to celebrate their team’s historic NBA Championship. The party was clearly crazy, with one report claiming the fans stole a city fire truck.

Well, as it turns out, they did not take it quite to that level. The fire truck was never stolen, but Cavs’ fans did take it over for a time and made it their dance floor for the evening.

Before the Cavaliers took down the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, the city of Cleveland had not won a professional sports championship since the Browns took home the NFL title in 1964. This was the longest drought of any U.S. city in professional sports, so the fans clearly had plenty of reason to celebrate.

Fans of championship winning teams can get out of hand at times, with legitimate riots taking place, but nothing like that happened here. Cavs’ fans are just incredibly excited for their team and more importantly their city.

The Cavaliers’ players had an impressive overnight celebration of their own in a Las Vegas club, but the two sides are now together to celebrate as the Cavs have landed back in Cleveland.

Dancing on a fire truck. Can’t say I have ever seen that one before. Enjoy it, Cleveland.
