LeBron James appears on ‘Kiss Cam’ at Cleveland Indians game
LeBron James officially clinched his status as a legend in Cleveland sports lore by bringing an NBA title back to Cleveland with the Cavaliers. He also made an appearence on the ‘Kiss Cam’ at the Cleveland Indians game on Monday with a new friend.
The ‘Kiss Cam’ at sporting events is usually rather odd and not necessary. It’s just weird.
But, when LeBron James makes a ‘Kiss Cam’ cameo in the city of Cleveland after winning the city’s first title in over five decades, it’s actually pretty cool.
During the Cleveland Indians game against the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday, James and the Larry O’Brien Trophy made an appearance on the big board at Progressive Field in Cleveland.
The Indians would go on to win the game, 7-4, following James’ lead after Sunday night’s improbable win for the Cavaliers in Game 7 of the NBA Finals.
James’ MVP performance (that included a triple-double in Game 7) in the championship series against the Golden State Warriors might have been an omen for the remainder of the year for Cleveland. The Indians sit at 39-30 and hold a one-game lead over the Kansas City Royals in the American League’s Central Division.
LeBron wasn’t actually in attendance for the game, but the Indians did a solid job in capturing a shot of him and the trophy from earlier in the day when James broke his social media silence on Instagram.
Cleveland is on top of the mountain in a professional sport. What a time to be alive.
