Cleveland comedian Mike Polk Jr has something to finally be happy about.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have won the NBA Finals — something that we never thought would happen.
It’s not that we thought the Cavaliers specifically wouldn’t win, it’s that we all knew that Cleveland is a giant hole of suck. You couldn’t even say that happy things go to die in Cleveland because that would be implying that happy things are every in or around the vicinity of Cleveland.
Few people have been able to better capture the pain in Cleveland than local comedian Mike Polk Jr. If there was ever a champion in Cleveland before the Cavaliers, it was Polk, as he took the Factory of Sadness and turned his pain into laughter.
Just taste this satire:
It’s funny because it was so painfully true.
Was being the keyword. Well, the city itself is still kind of a hole but it’s a winner now. It’s also still not Detroit or Buffalo so tonight makes things a landslide victory in more than one way.
Cleveland still has the Browns to break their hearts but it’s a city of champions tonight and who better to turn to for a reaction than Mike Polk?

Perfection.
Polk has been the voice of Cleveland rage over the past few years, as he’s perfectly embodied the feeling of ineptitude that the city has felt with the tragedy of its sports teams. That bewildered look is both hilarious but fitting of a city that knows it’s the center of the world tonight but still doesn’t know what happiness feels like.
Finally though, there are actual fun times in Cleveland today.
