Skip Bayless has a knack for saying things to grab attention, and on his last day at ESPN, his colleagues made it clear he won’t be missed

ESPN has employed sports personality Skip Bayless full-time since 2004, but they have had a working relationship dating back to 1989. On Monday, that relationship will come to an end, but that didn’t stop Skip from saying one last dumb thing to garner as much attention as possible.

Bayless has made a career trying to say things to get people talking, but now that he is out at the worldwide leader, his colleagues are letting it be known they are sick of his act.

After years of disrespecting LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Bayless decided to do so again, despite James’ amazing performance as his Cavs fought back from a 3-1 deficit against the defending champions, the Golden State Warriors.

Unimpressed after James helped Cleveland to it’s first pro sports title in 52 years, Bayless tweeted out that the real MVP should have been Cavs guard Kyrie Irving, and then said that the San Antonio Spurs would have beaten this Cleveland team.

Personalities like Scot Van Pelt apparently had enough, as he simply told haters to “get a new act.” While people like Danny Kannell made reference to the movie Friday, saying “bye Felicia” in response to Bayless’ take on the Cavs.

It’s rare to see pundits call one another out so openly. However, anyone who has listened to the absurd ramblings of Bayless surely understands how he is able to elicit such a response from other media professionals. For those who enjoy his work, Skip now takes his “interesting” takes with him to Fox Sports 1.
