Live tracker for the WWE RAW results on June 20, 2016 from Phoenix, AZ
WWE RAW on Monday, June 20 is going to be absolutely electric as the show makes its way to Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, AZ. Sure, it’s the night after the WWE Money in the Bank 2016 pay-per-view—but it’s also the night after Roman Reigns was pinned clean in the main event of the PPV by Seth Rollins only to have Dean Ambrose cash-in his newly acquired Money in the Bank contract to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Obviously the June 20 episode of WWE RAW is heavily going to focus on that in some capacity. After all, both Rollins and Reigns are technically owed a rematch as part of the rematch clause in holding the belt, so you have to wonder what direction WWE will head in starting on Monday night in that regard.
However, there’s still much more that needs to be touched on come WWE RAW in Phoenix. AJ Styles got his victory at Money in the Bank over John Cena, but not at all in the way that Cena had challenged him to as the ref was taken down and The Club ultimately got involved by hitting Cena with the Magic Killer. This seems like it might be headed for a rematch, but we’ll have to see what happens on WWE RAW to be sure.
Moreover, there is Natalya’s heel turn from Money in the Bank, the question of what’s next for guys like Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, and Cesaro, potential returns of Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton looming and much more that makes it worth tuning into WWE RAW or at least not missing anything that happens.
And you don’t have to miss anything that goes down at WWE RAW as we’ll be live tracking the results here once the show begins at 8 p.m. ET. Follow along and join in with the discussion at the bottom of the page.
Making the Main Event to Make a Main Event
Dean Ambrose was out to talk about winning the title at Money in the Bank and bask in the glory. However, it was short-lived as Roman Reigns came out to confront him. Soon after that, Seth Rollins joined the party.
After that, though, Shane McMahon had had enough from watching in the back. Therefore, he made the main event for WWE RAW Seth vs Roman to determine who Ambrose will face in the main event of WWE Battleground:

Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens
Weird, I know—but Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens work well together. Very well. Just look.

People. Freaking. Power.
John Lauranitis came out to be the latest guy to try and vie for one of the GM spots of Smackdown or RAW.

However, Shane O Mac obviously treated Johnny Ace like he has everyone else who’s thrown their hats in the ring for a GM spot—by dismissing them.
Enzo and Big Cass vs The Vaudevillains

These two former NXT rivals continued their rivalry on the main roster in this match as well, but it was really only a showcase for the power of Big Cass.

Winner: Enzo and Big Cass
AJ Styles was up next out in the ring to talk about his win over John Cena. He was quite tongue-in-cheek about it and forced Gallows and Anderson to come out so that they could apologize. Furthering that, he made them apologize to Cena, who came out next.

John Cena vs Karl Anderson
This match was really just set up to further the feud. Cena was on top, but then AJ and The Club attacked.

Winner: Cena (by DQ)
Natalya Attacks Becky
Becky Lynch was backstage doing an interview about being attacked by Nattie at Money in the Bank when Natalya struck again, attacking her.

Baron Corbin vs Zack Ryder
This was a relatively nothing match to keep Baron Corbin looking strong. He won with End of Days.

Winner: Baron Corbin
Charlotte vs Paige (AKA SASHA BACK)
This match was fun between Charlotte and Paige and I’m probably not going to give it the time it deserves because, after a distraction by Dana Brooke, Charlotte won and retained her belt. But in the post-match, it was Sasha Banks finally coming back to TV.

Wyatts Back Too!
The Wyatt Family finally returned from injury on WWE RAW as well. However, he hadn’t gotten three words out (exaggeration) before New Day came out and interrupted them:
#TheNewDay interrupted the #WyattFamily ... at their own peril! #RAW @WWEBrayWyatt @XavierWoodsPhD #RUN! https://t.co/QrvqWc2CS6
— WWE (@WWE) June 21, 2016
However, Bray wasn’t having any of that as he said New Day made a mistake by interrupting their return. He then made a thinly veiled challenge that looks like it’ll lead to a feud.
Rusev vs Titus O’Neil
After what Rusev did to Titus and his family at Money in the Bank, the big man was having none of it and took it to Rusev on RAW.
#BulgarianBrute @RusevBUL may have just messed with the WRONG MAN in @TitusONeilWWE! #RAW pic.twitter.com/7wdHwO2jFP
— WWE Universe (@WWEUniverse) June 21, 2016
So much so that the match ended prematurely as Rusev just took off, cowering in fear.
There were two backstage segments with The Miz yelling about not having quail to eat and then Chris Jericho expressing his disdain for Shane McMahon.
Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns
This match most definitely wasn’t as good as the one that they had at the Money in the Bank PPV on Sunday night, but featured some high quality work from both men.

However, both men took one another out on the outside, ultimately leading to a double-countout.
Winner: N/A
Since this was to determine the No. 1 contender though, Shane came out to say that wasn’t how this match was going to end. Being a “lunatic,” Ambrose then said he would take on both men at Battleground.
Shane agreed to make it happen, so there you have it: Shield Triple Threat for the belt at Battleground.
