2. Brooklyn Nets

Back in time, there were rumors that Dwight Howard wanted to join the Brooklyn Nets while he was still with the Orlando Magic. Many seasons have passed since then and Howard needs a home, while the Nets need a lot of help with their roster.

It’s going to take a while for the Nets to become good again and they don’t have many assets in the way of draft picks. That means if they’re going to try to be competitive soon, they’re going to have to strike it rich on some players in free agency.

The top players in free agency aren’t going to Brooklyn, but if they could convince Howard that he could come in and be the guy, it would make a ton of sense. In Brooklyn, Howard wouldn’t have to worry about another superstar trying to steal his spotlight and making him look bad on the basketball floor.

While the Nets still have Brook Lopez under contract, they could try to find someone to take him on. With Lopez having a fairly reasonable contract under the new salary cap, that shouldn’t be as hard to do as some people might make it out to believe.

If there’s still a yearning to get to Brooklyn, Howard can make it happen this summer.
