While everyone knows who the top two picks in the 2016 NBA Draft are going to be, the intrigue of the draft all revolves around what the Boston Celtics are going to do with the No. 3 overall pick in the draft.

Thanks to savvy moves and an excellent construction of cap flexibility and assets, the Celtics have the pieces to go in on a trade that could potentially lead them to winning the Eastern Conference if they can continue to make the right moves.

According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Celtics are having trouble trying to acquire that star player. Stein notes that they have gone after Jimmy Butler, Gordon Hayward, Jabari Parker and Khris Middleton.

It’s clear that the Celtics are aiming for the moon with their picket and variety of assets that they have. However, in a two-player draft, it’s going to be hard for any team to trade a star for a pick that is uncertain.

That’s not to say that they won’t make a deal happen somewhere, but it’s going to take a lot for a team to pull the trigger with Boston right now.
