The biggest game in the history of the WNBA took place on Tuesday afternoon, when the undefeated Minnesota Lynx took on the undefeated Los Angeles Sparks. Both teams came into the game with the best starts to a season ever and one of them would ultimately fall and suffer the first loss of the season.

The game was as good as expected and came down to the very final play of the game. With the game tied and overtime looking inevitable at the Staples Center, it was the veteran guard out of Connecticut, Renee Montgomery, that came through in a huge way for the Lynx.

With an open look in the corner, Montgomery drilled a three with just seconds remaining on the clock.

That would be all and the Lynx would continue their great start to the season and pick up their 13th win. Despite the fact that the Sparks fell on their home floor, they proved that these are the two best teams in the Western Conference.

A playoff battle between these two squads is an absolute must for all basketball fans.
