Roman Reigns has been suspended 30 days by WWE for a Wellness Policy violation
WWE dropped a bombshell on everyone Tuesday afternoon with the news that Roman Reigns has been suspended 30 days for a Wellness Policy violation. With this being his first violation of the Wellness Policy, the 30 days suspension is the norm.
Now, really, a question was answered as to why the WWE World Heavyweight Championship was taken off of him on Sunday night at Money in the Bank. He shockingly lost clean to Seth Rollins, who then lost the title to Dean Ambrose immediately following a cash-in of the Money in the Bank briefcase.
Reigns has been at the top of the company for quite some time now, as he has been seen as the next chosen one. No matter what the fans felt about him, Vince McMahon has pushed him as his next top star, even giving him the big main event win at WrestleMania 32 over Triple H in the WWE title match. It further angered some detractors, but it was clear that he was the man for the spot at the top.
We’ll have to see now, though, just how this will affect his standing in the company. We’ll also have to see just where he stands for the next show now, Battleground, as he was slated to be in the triple threat match against Rollins and Ambrose for the title.
These questions will be answered, but for now we know that Reigns will be serving a suspension.
