The NBA trades are out in full force and speculation is running rampant in the NBA the day before the 2016 NBA Draft. On Wednesday, the New York Knicks made the biggest deal of the day when they acquired point guard Derrick Rose from the Chicago Bulls.
The Knicks are hoping to pair some star power alongside Kristaps Porzingis and Carmelo Anthony and hope to maybe entice a top free agent join them as well. While Rose is a long way from the player that he once was, it has many excited if he can stay healthy and upgrade their point guard spot.
As is the case when any team in New York makes a big deal, there tends to be a creative headline on the backpage of the newspapers in New York City. The New York Daily News decided to jump the gun on everyone and titled tomorrow’s backpage, “Rose Garden.”

No it is not referring to the old name for the Trail Blazers’ arena. It’s referring to the fact that Rose will now be able to take the floor at Madison Square Garden every night.
It’s an interesting move for the Knicks and for their sake, they’re hoping it pays off in more stars.
