Identifying the top high salary and value second baseman plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 22 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Ian Kinsler, Tigers (4,900): Kinsler has been relatively quiet since his streak of three straight games with a home run earlier in the month of June. Wednesday’s matchup with Seattle Mariners right-hander Hisashi Iwakuma (6-5, 4.18 ERA) offers a chance for a big game. Kinsler is 11-for-29 with three home runs in his career against Iwakuma. He’s the top second baseman available on Wednesday.

Jonathan Schoop, Orioles (4,800): Schoop gets overshadowed by many of the Orioles’ other stars (Manny Machado, Adam Jones, Chris Davis), but he’s quietly putting together a career season. He’s hitting .280 with 12 home runs and 41 RBIs. He’s homered twice in his last four games and should be able to do some damage against San Diego Padres righty Erik Johnson (0-4, 7.66 ERA).

High Value

Daniel Murphy, Nationals (3,600): Don’t let the matchup with young Los Angeles Dodgers lefty Julio Urias scare you off. To be able to get the majors’ leading batter at this price is great value. Murphy is hitting .352 overall and .316 against left-handers, so he’s a reasonable play against Urias (0-2, 4.50 ERA).

Josh Harrison, Pirates (2,800): Harrison has gone hitless in his six at-bats through the first two games against the San Francisco Giants, but for such a deeply-discounted price, he’s worth a look Wednesday against Jeff Samardzija (8-4, 3.14 ERA). Samardzija is having a solid debut season for the Giants, but Harrison is 2-for-4 against him in his career.
