High Value SP

Michael Fulmer-Detroit Tigers (8,000): Fulmer finally gave up a run in his last start allowing the Royals to get a run off him and only lasting 5.2 innings in KC.  He got so little run support that he ended up taking the loss to drop to 7-2 on the season.

Fulmer has still allowed just two runs over his last six starts and has lowered his ERA from 6.52 all the way down to 2.43.  He’ll look to get back in the win column tonight at home against the Mariners. In his two previous starts at Comerica this season, Fulmer is 2-0 with a sparking 0.69 ERA and 16 K’s in 13 innings.∗∗∗∗∗

Kyle Gibson-Minnesota Twins (5,600): If you go cheap on the mound tonight, Kyle Gibson is the best of a scary group of options under 7K. Gibson comes in with an ugly 6.06 ERA on the season to go with his 0-5 record, but he is in a good matchup against the Phillies who are one of the worst offenses in the Majors.

Gibson looked bad in his first start back from the DL against the Red Sox last Saturday, but he improved against the Yankees allowing three runs on six hits in 6.1 innings.  Two of his three runs were actually allowed after he left the game, and he should be able to pick up his first win of the season if he has a similar start tonight.  Gibson isn’t a strikeout pitcher, so he doesn’t have a high ceiling, but you can stack your lineup if you think he can get you a win and 30ish fantasy points tonight.
