Johnny Manziel was on the other end of a hit and run, telling TMZ that he was a victim.

Johnny Manziel just can’t catch a break these days. His NFL career has been characterized by his bad habits off the field, as he was released by the Cleveland Browns for a myriad of reasons, such as lying to the team about being out partying.

TMZ reported earlier that he got into a hit-and-run accident while in Dallas, and that he described the driver as riding off after T-boning Manziel’s car. A report filed to the Dallas PD indicates that Manziel has a witness on hand that can confirm the incident.

Even after all he has been through, he’s not going to receive much pity. After all, the last time he got involved with the Dallas PD, he was handed out assault charges for threatening to kill both himself and his girlfriend. In the wake of that incident, Manziel’s father stated that he doesn’t believe his son will live to see his 24th birthday, while former quarterback Ryan Leaf described Johnny as “looking into a mirror.”

While it’s unfortunate that Manziel got involved in this, he shouldn’t have been out driving late at night given his history. Plus he has enough money to buy a new car. Hopefully this latest incident will make Manziel think twice about being out late, and might make him a firm believer in karma.
