Has the 2016 WWE pay-per-view schedule for after the RAW and Smackdown brand split leaked?

WWE is certainly in a strange period of time for the company right now. Not only did they just have to suspend one of their top guys for a Wellness Policy Violation, but they also have a brand split coming up as Smackdown will go live on Tuesday, July 19. One of the things that’s been rumored and reported for quite some time about the upcoming brand split is that it will bring with it the return of brand specific pay-per-views. Moreover, there have been reports of one PPV per month for each brand with the big four (Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series) being joint shows.

Now we might have a schedule for those PPVs for the rest of 2016.

A Reddit user with the blunt username of “Wrestlingleaker” that has provided previous insider information about WWE plans before posted a picture onto r/squaredcircle saying that it was a look at the planned PPV schedule for the rest of 2016 and after the brand split:

There are a couple of things that really jump off the page here. First off, WWE isn’t trying to create any new brands here if this is actually the schedule for the PPVs. They are instead reviving old and defunct PPV brands such as No Mercy, Backlash, and even Clash of Champions—though the latter appears as if it might be replacing Night of Champions.

It’ll be much interesting to see a 2017 PPV schedule to see what it will look like with 18-22 shows per year, as has been reported leading up to the WWE brand split. However, this look is intriguing enough and, even if it’s not the one that’s set in stone, it could at least give fans a vague idea of what’s to come.
