Five trades that the Philadelphia 76ers need to try making on draft day

The Philadelphia 76ers are a team that everyone has their eyes on coming into the 2016 NBA Draft. Not only do they have the No. 1 overall pick that they’re expected to take Ben Simmons with, but they’re also in a position where their front office is in transition. Sam Hinkie is gone and the Colangelo family is in the cut now. As such, you have to imagine that the 76ers are a candidate to make a big splash on draft day.

Say what you will about the overall state of the Sixers, but they do have draft assets and some assets that they could throw into a trade to add value. There is at the very least potential for quality deals that would shake things up majorly around the league to get done.

Of course, it’s impossible to know what any of these teams are actually thinking with all of the smokescreens and so on that are thrown up around draft day. That being said, it would appear that the 76ers could use help in their backcourt, could use an established NBA player to bring onto their roster, and could afford to make a major splash.

With all of that in mind and in the name of loving chaos when it comes to the NBA and the draft, here are five potential draft day trades that the 76ers should look to make.
