Professional athletes love candy. From Marshawn Lynch and his Skittles to Derrick Rose and his Skittles, the guilty pleasure of a bunch of good players seems to be fruit flavored candy. It seems clear that Elfrid Payton can be added to the list of fruit flavored candy loving NBA players as Sour Patch Kids hooked him up with a pretty cool locker.

I am going to assume that the locker is actually filled with bags of Sour Patch Kids or that Payton got another package full of the candy, but it is clear that he must eat a lot of them for the company to be sending him out something like that. That said, this should honestly be the start of some type of sponsorship.

More from NBA

Considering Payton’s hair pretty closely resembles the hair on the candy kids if he wears it a certain way, Sour Patch Kids could really do well by bagging a bunch of the blue raspberry flavored ones and selling them as a “limited edition Elfrid Payton edition” package. Considering the blue are the best flavor anyway, the package will do just great. You are welcome for the idea Sour Patch Kids, feel free to send me a locker or some free candy if you want. Just DM me on Twitter and we can sent something up.

Until then I will just be over here jealous of Elfrid Payton.
