The Philadelphia 76ers are doing everything in their power to get the Boston Celtics’ No. 3 pick: Nerlens Noel, Robert Covington, and two first round picks.

According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Philadelphia 76ers are offering the Boston Celtics a ton in return for the No. 3 pick in the 2016 NBA Draft to get Providence Friars point guard Kris Dunn. Philadelphia will offer center Nerlens Noel, the No. 24 pick, the No. 26 pick, and shooting guard Robert Covington.

Philadelphia has hypertanked the last three seasons and are looking improve in 2016-17 with No. 1 overall pick Ben Simmons as their new star player at small forward. One way that Philadelphia can improve is to upgrade their league-worst point guard tandem in Ish Smith and T.J. McConnell.

By trading up to get Dunn at No. 3, the 76ers would be making a bold statement that Philadelphia is ready for an exciting new era of basketball. Perhaps this would mean the end of The Process set forth by former general manager Sam Hinkie. The question is if Boston general manager Danny Ainge will bite at Philadelphia’s offer?
