Derrick Rose enters 2016-17 on the last year of his deal he signed with the Chicago Bulls. Here are 10 landing spots next summer for the Knicks point guard.

Former No. 1 overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft and 2011 NBA MVP point guard Derrick Rose was traded from his hometown Chicago Bulls to the New York Knicks the day before the 2016 NBA Draft.

Rose is in the final year of his five-year deal he signed with the Bulls worth over $20 million annually. Since signing that contract worth over $90 million five years ago, Rose’s value has rapidly depreciated after several painstaking knee injuries that have robbed him of his once dynamic talent at point guard.

While his arrival in New York forms a highly publicized big three with small forward Carmelo Anthony and power forward Kristaps Porzingis, there is reason to believe that New York’s 2016-17 NBA season could go either way: a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference or a colossal high-priced dumpster fire by season’s end.

There’s even a strong possibility that former Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard might join Anthony, Porzingis, and Rose in New York as a free agent this summer.

With Rose playing on an expiring deal in 2016-17 and will hit unrestricted free agency, next summer here are 10 NBA teams that could look to add Rose as their 2017-18 point guard.
