NBA Trade Rumors: Brooklyn Nets aggressively shopping Thaddeus Young
Recent NBA Trade Rumors suggest the Brooklyn Nets are looking to move forward Thaddeus Young, and teams are interested.
As we quickly approach the 2016 NBA Draft on Thursday night, the NBA rumor mill is working overtime. The latest NBA Trade Rumors include suggest the Brooklyn Nets are looking to move forward Thaddeus Young, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.
It appears the Nets have made Young available, and are looking to sell him to the team who offers them the highest pick in the 2016 NBA Draft on Thursday night. The Nets currently do not own a selection in the upcoming draft, and would obviously love to get into the first-round to help with their rebuild.
Young is a talented player whose length and athleticism fits in well in today’s position-less NBA. I am not surprised to see Western Conference teams aggressively going after Young, as his ability to defend multiple positions would come in handy against the Golden State Warriors.
The Cleveland Cavaliers and Oklahoma City Thunder proved that the best way to defend Steph Curry and company is to switch everything. Young’s defensive versatility could really be a valuable weapon.
It is difficult to predict which teams are really interested in Young, as his versatile skill-set would fit in anywhere. This could put the Nets in an ideal situation to get an extremely valuable pick in exchange for Young.
