DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy baseball third base-June 24
Identifying the top high-salary and value third baseman plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 24 DraftKings lineup.
Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.
As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.
High Salary
Josh Donaldson, Blue Jays (5,500): Donaldson has cooled off a bit from his recent stretch of four straight 20-plus fantasy-point performances, but he’s still in a great spot Friday night against Chicago White Sox left-hander Carlos Rodon (2-6, 4.16 ERA). Donaldson is hitting .318 against southpaws this season. He’s expensive, but one of the top third base plays on the slate.
Nolan Arenado, Rockies (5,400): Arenado is 0-for-4 in his career against Arizona Diamondbacks righty Archie Bradley (3-3, 4.83 ERA), but he has a chance to change that Friday. Arenado enters play on a nice little six-game hitting streak and he’s hitting a robust .311 at the friendly confines of Coors Field. This game should be one of the highest-scoring tilts on Friday, and Arenado could be a major reason why.
High Value
Adrian Beltre, Rangers (3,200): Don’t let the matchup with Boston Red Sox ace David Price (8-4, 4.24 ERA) scare you off. Beltre has had success against Price in the past and stands out as a solid value play. Beltre is 10-for-33 with six extra-base hits and six RBIs against Price. Expect some runs to be scored Friday night in Arlington for both Texas and Boston.

Maikel Franco, Phillies (2,900): Franco has struggled of late, collecting just two hits in his last seven games. However, his price is dirt cheap, which makes an attractive option against San Francisco Giants right-hander Jake Peavy (3-6, 5.47 ERA). Peavy has been solid in his last two outings, but his overall struggles outweigh that.
