5. Caris LeVert’s Sportcoat

Caris LeVert was selected 20th overall by the Brooklyn Nets with a pick they acquired from the Indiana Pacers. The 6-foot-7 guard out of Michigan averaged 16.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists during the 2015-2016 regular season for the Wolverines.

Before being drafted, LeVert published a letter in the Players’ Tribune talking about his father’s death and detailing the struggles of battling through many foot injuries. LeVert gave it all he had in college to become a first round pick but what really stole the show was his sport coat.

As many people know, the draft is a time where players can showcase their unique sense of style. Who can forget the red pinstripe suite that Jalen Rose sported when he was selected 13th by the Denver Nuggets. Joakim Noah shocked the world when he wore an all white suite with a bowtie before being drafted, not to mention his wild hair style.

LeVert wore a Michigan colored sport coat to the draft to honor his old school. The coat was navy blue down at the bottom with blue sleeves while the top half around his shoulders was yellow. If LeVert doesn’t make a name for himself in the NBA, his name will be found under most memorable draft suits.
