One reason Kevin Durant should consider every NBA team

Phoenix Suns – The Backcourt

In the interest of full disclosure, it would be very tough to sell Kevin Durant on the Phoenix Suns. This is an organization that managed to get a meeting with LaMarcus Aldridge (and sign Tyson Chandler) just a year ago, but after a hideous 23-59 season in 2015-2016, the Suns aren’t exactly appealing in an obvious way. Still, Phoenix does have some talent and some future assets on board, and the weather is nice.

The biggest claim on relevance for Phoenix is the backcourt. Devin Booker is a prized asset after an exceptional rookie season, and the (very) young shooting guard would look good next to a rangy, talented wing like Durant. The point guard situation is very muddy in that there are multiple players around, but Phoenix does have real talent in Eric Bledsoe and the frontcourt isn’t a complete wasteland provided Alex Len turns it on at some point in time.

The Suns don’t have an exceptional coach, their ownership is a challenge (to put it lightly) and their recent track record isn’t great. I’m trying here, Phoenix fans, but you aren’t making it easy.

Maybe Kevin Durant just likes Devin Booker a lot.
