Sacramento Kings – Boogie Wonderland

First and foremost, you might want to catch up on some Earth, Wind & Fire to understand the reference above.

Now, with that glorious video out of the way, the appeal for Kevin Durant to join the Sacramento Kings is none other than DeMarcus Cousins.

Cousins the best offensive center in the NBA, and perhaps the most talented overall. Over the last three seasons combined, the 25-year-old center has averaged 24.5 points, 11.9 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game while posting a 25.0 PER, and that production level has come in a borderline disastrous situation in Sacramento.

In short, Cousins is a mega-piece to build around if you can keep his head on straight, and when paired with Durant, that may not be as difficult. It must be said that Durant may want to avoid a temperamental star like Cousins completely, but if he is intrigued, Sacramento also has strong young assets (Willie Cauley-Stein, for instance) and a lack of pressure to win big right away.

Kevin Durant and DeMarcus Cousins would be must-see television from the first moment they stepped on the floor wearing the same uniform, and they would be a potent on-court duo.
