Identifying the top high salary and value first baseman plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 27 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Edwin Encarnacion, Blue Jays (5,500): Putting a slugger like Encarnacion in a park like Coors Field is almost unfair. If Encarnacion doesn’t put on a show in this series with the Colorado Rockies, it would be a minor upset. Nine of his 19 home runs have come in the month of June, and he has a great chance to add to that total against Jon Gray (4-3, 4.80 ERA).

Anthony Rizzo, Cubs (5,300): Rizzo has hit safely in seven straight games, a stretch that includes 12 hits in total, so he enters play Monday on a nice hot streak. He’s also hitting .321 against right-handers this season, so the matchup with Cincinnati Reds starter Dan Straily (4-4, 3.83 ERA) is a solid one. Rizzo is a prime play on Monday’s slate.

High Value

Freddie Freeman, Braves (3,500): It’s been a tough season in Atlanta, but Freeman is still worth the price of admission. He leads the Braves in average (.282) and home runs (13), and ranks second in RBIs (28). He enters play Monday with a five-game hitting streak. Freeman is solid value against right-hander Trevor Bauer (5-2, 3.20 ERA).

Tommy Joseph, Phillies (3,100): Joseph is always a solid play against left-handers, as he’s hitting .367 against southpaws this season. That bodes well for Monday’s matchup with Arizona Diamondbacks lefty Robbie Ray (4-6, 4.59 ERA). For such a discounted price, he’s worth a look, especially in tournaments.
