Identifying the top high salary and value second baseman plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 27 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Jose Altuve, Astros (4,800): Altuve, now the American League leader in batting average (.347), extended his current hitting streak to eight games on Sunday. His 103 total hits trail only Boston’s Xander Bogaerts (108). Altuve is a brilliant fantasy play night in and night out, and Monday is no different. He’s 6-for-14 with a pair of home runs in his career against Los Angeles Angels starter Matt Shoemaker.

Devon Travis, Blue Jays (4,600): Toronto was without Travis until late May, but he’s provided an obvious boost in the 27 games he’s played so far. He’s hitting .297 against right-handers, so he’s a strong play Monday at Coors Field against Colorado Rockies righty Jon Gray (4-3, 4.80 ERA).

High Value

Daniel Murphy, Nationals (4,000): Murphy draws a tough matchup against his former teammate, New York Mets ace Noah Syndergaard. But he has five hits in his last three games and could add to that on Monday. Murphy’s ownership should be low, though he’s probably best suited for GPPs. Murphy went 1-for-3 against “Thor” in their only other previous meeting.

Whit Merrifield, Royals (3,800): Merrifield is quietly enjoying a pretty spectacular rookie season for the defending champions. He’s hit safely in 12 of his last 13 games, and boasts an overall average of .321. He’s hitting .298 against right-handers, a fact that bodes well for his matchup with St. Louis Cardinals starter Adam Wainwright (6-4, 4.73 ERA).
