Identifying the top high salary and value shortstop plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 27 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Xander Bogaerts, Red Sox (4,800): Bogaerts has “only” four hits over his last four games, a stretch that includes no double-digit fantasy performances. That’s about as cold as the dynamic young shortstop can get, so expect a return to form soon. He’s hitting .370 against lefties, so he should be happy to see Tampa Bay Rays southpaw Blake Snell on Monday.

Carlos Correa, Astros (4,400): After some early-season struggles, Correa is putting together an impressive run. He has eight hits over his last six games, including three home runs. It’s easy to forget that Correa is still just 21 years old, but he’s undeniably talented. He’s a strong play Monday against Los Angeles Angels righty Matt Shoemaker (3-8, 4.43 ERA).

High Value

Asdrubal Cabrera, Mets (3,400): Cabrera is almost always one of the cheaper shortstops available, and yet he’s been a solid producer of late. He has five hits over his last five games, including a pair of home runs. He’s never faced Washington Nationals right-hander Joe Ross (6-4, 3.11 ERA), but he’s a viable GPP play on a short Monday slate.

Brandon Crawford, Giants (3,200): After a painfully slow start in April, Crawford has re-established himself as one of San Francisco’s premier run producers. Since the start of May, he’s driven in 38 runs. If you expect the Giants to do some damage at home Monday against Oakland Athletics righty Daniel Mengden (and we do expect that), Crawford is a great value option.
