Laurent Blanc will leave his post with Paris Saint Germain after three successful campaigns in France.

After three successive seasons with Ligue 1’s most dominant club, Paris Saint Germain, manager Laurent Blanc has decided to leave his post. Blanc has led PSG to three straight Ligue 1 and national titles, but has failed to get his team past the Champions League quarter finals.

The former French manager lead his PSG team to 81-25-8 over his three season, amazingly losing only eight times in three years.

PSG has been a top club in Europe for years. They have a lot money, which can buy very talented players. They are always dominant in France, and this year won the league way before the season ended, finishing with a whopping 96 points, 35 more points than second place Lyon.

Blanc has had one of the top squads in Europe since he took over in 2013, but the failure of getting to a Champions League Final has put his spell with the club in doubt.

Blanc recently signed a two-year deal in February, but reports recently have had him leaving the team. According to the BBC, club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said that club is opening a new chapter in their development.

“I’ve been here for five years and this is the first time we have had this sense of failure,” said Al-Khelaifi.

Now PSG will need to find a new manager before the season starts on August 12th, and signs are pointing to recent Sevilla manager Unai Emery. Emery has led Sevilla to three straight Europa League titles and recently decided to leave his post there.
