MLB DFS: Finding the Stud and Steal of the Day for your DFS lineup!
Looking at tonightās slate of ten baseball games, it can be daunting to decide who deserves a place in your lineup. Knowing which star player is worth the money can be the difference between a winning night and one that ends in failure. However, finding the hidden gems that perform well are equally as important because they can let you spend more on your starting pitchers. This article will touch on one expensive player who is primed to have a big night, and one cheap player whom you wouldnāt normally play but is a great play tonight.
Next: The Stud of The Day

When it comes to āStudsā you canāt get much bigger than arguably the best player in baseball, Mike Trout. He has been the perfect outfielder for the Angels for the past few years and tonight he has a tasty match-up at home versus Collin McHugh and the Astros.
Trout comes in priced at $4,300 on Fanduel making him the third most expensive outfielder on their slate, and $4,900 on draftkings, (7th most expensive). With his prowess against right handed pitching at home, there is no reason not to go with Trout tonight.
While his other numbers certainly arenāt poor, Troutās slashing line at home is an absurd .339 avg, 7 HR, and 24 RBIās, in 39 games. When you factor in that McHugh has had struggles on the road, (5.02 era, 5 Hrās allowed) it makes sense, get Trout in your lineups tonight!
Next: Steal of the Day

You donāt have to travel far to find the steal of the day, as Colby Rasmus will be opposing Mike Trout and the Angels tonight. While he is only $3,400 on Fanduel and $3,600 on Draftkings, all of the statistics point to Rasmus having a big game tonight in Anaheim.
When you look at his splits, one line jumps out at you and it is his slashing line vs. right handed pitching on the road. He is hitting .319 with 5 HRās and has 17 RBIās in 32 games, which over the course of a full 162 game season would equate to .319 with 25 HRās and 86 RBIās. Certainly impressive numbers when you look at them over the course of a season.
Not only has he killed lefties on the road, he is also having his best hitting month of the year by far. After a rough April and May in which he averaged around a .230 batting average, Rasmus is hitting .298 in June and appears to have found his groove at the plate. Throw in his .385 career average vs. Matt Shoemaker and Rasmus is a great play for tonight who wonāt break the bank.
